Our week-in-review begins last Saturday at Princeton Battlefield. A day-long skirmish took nl 3place at the historic park between an overgrowth of bamboo and a crew of local volunteers organized by the Princeton Historical Society. Volunteers swiftly eliminated the bamboo and other debris using their bare hands and a variety of landscaping tools.  A big thank you to all the volunteers who so generously donated their time, effort, and resources to keep our community pristine!

nl 4It was an exciting week for Princeton University applicants. The University offered admission to 1,908 well-prepared and highly motivated students from 49 states and 66 countries. Congratulations to all who made the cut!

The Princeton University Library acquired another extraordinary treasure: the personal library of philosopher Jacques Derrida. The true value of this collection is not based on the age, condition, or by the authors of the books, but by the interactions Jacques Derrida had with the words written inside them. The scribbled notes and cross-references he left behind on countless pages will provide scholars with food for thought for a long time to come.
